Areas of Activity Research and Development

As an Environment-Creator^™, to create building environments, protect the global environment, and tackle new environmental challenges, we work on research and development mainly in two areas—air conditioning and environment, and heat and energy—with the aim of contributing to society as well as strengthening our core business and creating growth businesses.
In the area of air conditioning and environment, we are engaged in applied research and development involving spatial and environmental control of industrial and building equipment, energy-saving and streamlining, recycling water and other resources, social implementation of renewable energy equipment, and strengthening of core businesses.
In the area of heat and energy, we are engaged in fundamental and applied research and development of technologies for converting and utilizing heat and energy, optimization through energy management systems, recycling CO₂ and other resources, and producing and utilizing hydrogen.
