Flushing water purification unit

We have developed and are working toward deploying wastewater-free flushing technology to reduce the environmental impact of wastewater from production sites.

Practical application of wastewater-free flushing technology

We have many ongoing research and development projects aiming to reduce the impact of wastewater and exhaust from the construction and operation of facilities on the bioenvironment.
In wastewater treatment, we developed and deployed technology for purifying wastewater containing zinc and other effluents from plating and other processes inside pipes once they are laid. Known as flushing, this technology returns the water to the pipes rather than discharging it outside the pipes.

3R Reduce Reuse Recycle

We proactively exercise the 3Rs at our production sites and offices to recover and reuse useful resources from waste and other materials, which we view as valuable domestic resources.
We also thoroughly manage waste through to final disposal.

Life on Land

We have implemented various activities in an effort to reduce construction and facility waste, including shifting to prefabrication, eliminating packaging, promoting recycling, and thoroughly sorting waste before collection.
In FY2021, we achieved our target by recording a recycling rate of 86% across all 1,235 sites for contracting work. We will make further efforts to increase our recycling rate, for example by promoting T-Base® initiatives.

In FY1995, we became the first company in the industry to capture CFCs.
Since then, we have captured 827 tons of CFCs, including 100% of recoverable CFCs (roughly 34 tons) at 347 sites in FY2021. We will continue our efforts to capture CFCs through unfailing recovery process control to protect the ozone layer.
