Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Global Talent
Using the air conditioning technologies we have accumulated so far, we are aiming to contribute to environmental conservation on a global scale and as an Environment-Creator™. This requires human resources that can work globally, and so we are actively hiring global talent, improving the systems for them, and creating an environment where they can work with vitality.
Dialogue between the President
and Foreign National Employees
In October 2022, we held a talk session between President Kojima and foreign national employees at the Company. It was an opportunity for President Kojima to exchange opinions and ways of thinking with foreign national employees, who have left their home country and come to Japan to work. Three foreign national employees of different nationalities and positions in the Company participated in the talk session. So, what did President Kojima and the three participants talk about?!

Holding International Employee Exchange Events

We held our second exchange event in January 2024 centered on inclusion, with both foreign national and Japanese employees participating in the event. Participants deepened their connections while exchanging lively opinions on topics such as their objectives for working in Japan and what they would like the company and their colleagues to understand.

In February 2023, our international employees (from China, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Saudi Arabia) gathered together for the first time for an exchange event. Lively discussions on the theme of encouraging active participation of international employees took place during the event. A standing reception was held after these passionate discussions were over. The reception served as a valuable opportunity for participants to share their thoughts with colleagues whom they rarely get to meet and to build networks in a relaxed atmosphere.
Holding Intercultural Understanding and Exchange Events
We held a workshop for international employees at the Takasago Thermal Engineering Innovation Center. Aimed at fostering intercultural understanding and exchange, it gave participants the opportunity to engage with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and deepen their understanding of other cultures.
As globalization gains traction, it is essential for companies to respect diverse values and cultures and create an environment that fosters collaboration. We consider the development of human resources by embracing an international perspective to be a key priority, and we aim to become a more flexible and creative organization by deepening our understanding of other cultures. This workshop was planned as the first step toward achieving that goal.
Going forward, we will continue to implement programs focused on intercultural exchange and the development of global human resources, thereby providing opportunities for each employee to broaden their international perspective.
Utilization of the Home-Leave Holiday System
In FY2023, we established a system that enables foreign national employees working in Japan to return to their home countries for 14 days or less twice a year.
Comments from an Employee Who Utilized the System

Ruan Jie, Kanto-Koshinetsu Branch
I utilized the home-leave holiday system to temporarily return to my home country. It was my first time back home in three and a half years, and I was able to spend precious time with my family and friends. Despite being 71 years old, my dad was waiting to meet me at the airport. He looked a little thinner than he did three and a half years ago, but seeing him wave at me with a cheerful smile in front of the airport customs gate made me so happy. When I arrived home, my mother had already cooked many of my favorite dishes. I was relieved to see that my mother, who practices tai chi every day, seemed to be in good health. Later, all my relatives gathered around a round table to chat while eating delicious food.
During my holiday, I was also able to visit my old schools (junior high school, high school, and university). At a dinner party planned by my university professor (who had studied in Japan) and friends, we enjoyed fun and lively conversations that touched on everything from memories of our university days to our future plans.
This home-leave holiday was very useful for me to relieve the fatigue of daily life and refresh my body and soul. I was also able to take care of my parents and strengthen the bonds with my relatives and friends. In particular, I will never forget how happy my parents were. Having been away from my home country and unable to return for three and a half years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this holiday had a highly positive impact on me and was extremely meaningful. I realized that the holiday enabled me to perform more efficiently and creatively at work. I believe that the establishment of the home-leave holiday system will help us to attract more global talent in the future.
