Basic Approach to
Human Rights

The Company’s basic approach to human rights is to respect basic human rights and to never discriminate based on race, gender, nationality, religion, social status, or physical reasons, etc.

Under this policy, we will strive to ensure equal opportunities in employment, respect the character, individuality, and human rights of employees, and to provide a workplace where people can work comfortably, safely, and with peace of mind. The Company does not allow at all child labor, forced labor, and other such types of labor, and respects the employees’ freedom of association and right to collective bargaining.

Basic Policy on Human Rights

The Company respects the human rights of stakeholders that are affected by all types of business activities, and strives to realize a sustainable society throughout the entire value chain.

  1. We respect human rights based on the international norms in relation to human rights.*
  2. We respect the human rights of the Company’s stakeholders, in all of the processes in the value chain of business activities.
  3. We will continuously verify the negative impact on human rights that may occur in our business activities, and strive to prevent and lessen the chance of any incidents of concern from occurring.
  4. If there are any occurrences of negative impacts on human rights or violations of human rights in our business activities, we will take appropriate action to rectify and remedy the situation.
  5. We will work on fostering an appropriate awareness of human rights among all executives and employees, through education, training, and other activities.
  6. We will consult and cooperate with relevant stakeholders on actions to address human rights issues.
  7. Information on our initiatives for the respect of human rights are disclosed on the Company’s website and in the Integrated Report, etc.
  8. We will work with the Group companies, and move forward with our initiatives for the respect of human rights.
